  • Controller Polling Rate Question

    Hello,

I have a controller (Apex 5) that has 1000hz wired to the PC.

Now, I have selected it as an virtual controller - xbox one controller and i have set the output device setting to Ultra settings so I can get 1000hz, will i still get the 1000hz like this? Or even close? How much hz do I lose?

Or.... should I select my controller as a physical one and let the 1000hz work as it should since physical ones let the hz be whatever the controller is set to from manufacturer?

Hi. The polling rate is reduced due to virtual device emulation. Unfortunately, it's not possible to maintain the same 1000 Hz without some loss.

The final polling rate also depends on which virtual controller you are using, as different virtual controllers operate at different polling rates.

I just did a poll test with rewasd active and inactive, I got around 800hz for both analogsticks?

I'm confused?! Because its selected as an xbox one controller on rewasd i thought it should be 125hz?

For virtual Xbox contollers emulated locally reWASD will send reports as fast as it can, so if your setting is Ultra and you have Apex 5 then yes, it will be close to 1000 Hz.
Actual value may depend on speed of your PC and CPU load.
