  • Hold to shoot

Ok, let me first start by saying rewasd is literally my Lifeline.

I've mastered most of the controls however I'm having difficulty working out how single fire weapons can work with "hold until release"

It works really well with semi-automatic weapons as in I just hold down the combo (Left click = L2 - R2) but when I'm using it for a single fire weapon like a handgun it only fires one round per click. Can somebody help me with a combo that will allow me to click and hold where it will fire multiple rounds? Just looking for the right combo.

Turbo, part of the Rapid Fire functionality, is perfect for this. When the Turbo flag is checked on a mapping, it means the mapping will trigger an infinite number of times, with a certain pause, until you release the button.

I also recommend creating different Shift layers for different weapon types.

May I ask how that would look as a mapping? I can't get it to trigger like it would on a controller, say; L2 + R2 x8 for example.

        Specifically, you can't get L2 + R2 x8.
This tip works if you want to achieve semi-automatic/automatic fire on a single-fire weapon.
Essentially, you just hold down the button, but it emulates a constant spam of shots from a single-fire weapon.
        This mapping looks like this:

So, essentially I'm unable to ADS while having R2 spam using rewasd?

            Not quite.
            You can either:
Create the specific combo you need without Turbo, but it won't be flexible and will always work the same way, which isn't ideal for shooters.

Or hold down the right mouse button to ADS while the left mouse button is engaged with Turbo's fire mapping.

I tried it with a few pauses in between but unfortunately it didn't work very well.

              Very unfortunate

Unfortunately, I don’t have any other solutions for your case.
