I’ve been troubleshooting this with help from ChatGPT. I’m doing the hands-on testing, while ChatGPT has helped organize the diagnostic steps and results below.
Setup:

reWASD 9.5.0.11346
Logitech F310
The physical Logitech F310 is detected correctly. It appears in joy.cpl and its controls respond there. reWASD also detects the controller.
A configuration was created using a Virtual Xbox 360 output controller. When Config 1 is applied to Slot 1, reWASD reports that the configuration is active, followed by a “Logitech disconnected” notification.
The problem is that the expected virtual controller does not appear in joy.cpl. PnP checks also failed to find the expected virtual controller.
Device Manager does show Xbox 360 Controller for Windows and reports that it is working properly, but joy.cpl continues to show only the physical Logitech F310.
Virtual Xbox One was also tested instead of Virtual Xbox 360, with the same result.
reWASD was completely uninstalled, including settings and configurations. Windows was restarted and reWASD 9.5.0.11346 was installed fresh. The behavior remained the same.
reWASD logging is enabled and the Mapping Service is running. Logs are available if they are needed to identify the problem.
The goal is simply to use reWASD to remap the F310 for Forza Horizon 6.
Is this a known issue with the F310 or reWASD 9.5.0.11346? If not, please let me know what in the information above points to the cause, or which specific log file would be useful for confirming it.
