Hi! So I just purchased reWASD after I saw you can make use of the dualsense adapative triggers. I'm coming from steam's controller options and I'm a little lost haha. Essentially in RDR2 I wanted to make use of the gamecube style extra button where only the final effort of pushing the trigger would enable gyro as the right joystick. On steam I can do this with the softpull/fullpull feature, but I think the adaptive trigger resistance would be nicer and easier to know where the cut off is. Is this possible for me to achieve?

How to bind gyro to dualsense adaptive triggers?

In reWASD, you can assign gyroscope on/off to a specific trigger zone.
To do this, you need to go to Zones, change the zone limits to the ones you need and assign a command to activate or deactivate the gyroscope to the high zone (in your case, the final effort of pushing the trigger).
Also in reWASD there are certain presets for the work of adaptive DualSense triggers.

So follow up question. I was never able to get this to work using steam's software but it would be great having gyro deactivate whenever the right stick is moved, I believe Days Gone on Playstation had this sort of setup if I'm remembering correctly. RDR2 doesn't allow mixed inputs, it sorta functions but the camera can get nasty so I'm just trying to eliminate most of the nonsense that I can so that when I'm just shooting and aiming at cowboys the worst I have to deal with is keyboard prompts.
I tried binding toggle gyro on/off to the whole right stick but in-game that results in no analog movement at all out of it. I think that's just a game quirk though, in steam I remember trying to bind the mouse to the analog stick and it also didn't function, does the same if you set anti-deadzone too high.
I found this thread that talks about a potential solution using the zones on the analog stick, similar to what you showed me. This solution almost works, but I found it inconsistent in frantic gameplay and it can also muck with the camera in quiet moments when ideally gyro shouldn't be on at all. Having the binding be turn gyro off instead of toggle on/off also means that the trigger activated gyro remains off, requiring it to be re-pressed
So ideally I'd like to be able to start gyro aiming with the left trigger, make some broader movements with the right stick (turning gyro off), and then when the stick has stopped moving for gyro to re-enable without having to re-press the left trigger. All of that while retaining normal analog control of the right stick for when I'm not aiming. If this isn't yet possible that's fine I'm just nitpicking haha, the trigger upgrade is more than enough. Anyway thanks for the help!

So just in case someone is googling and wanted a solution to this sort of problem, I have one. It's damn near perfect with the only annoyance being some flashing button prompts when gyro aiming but short of some sort of mod I don't think that can be helped.
So I've managed to bind my right joystick to output as a mouse at the end of the left trigger, just past the resistance point. This allows me to have stable camera movement when using the right stick in combination with gyro in Red Dead 2, as well as having normal analog aim if I only hold the left trigger before the resistance point. I wasn't able to get this done exclusively through reWASD but I am new to the program so perhaps there is a way.
But anyway all I did was combine steam input and reWASD. In steam I just mode shifted the right analog into "joystick mouse" with the mode shift button bound to "Left Trigger Full Pull". Don't disable or rebind the stick itself, only have it mode shift to mouse. Then in the left trigger section of steam input I made sure the soft and full pull actions were unbound. You may have to have to adjust the trigger start and end ranges to match what you have in reWASD.
Also in rewasd in the trigger zones I pulled the trigger deadzone all the way to the left as steam's trigger zones seem to overwrite it if that makes any sense. I thought that meant I should probably remove all the possible conflicts steam input and rewasd could have. I tested on the left analog stick (i.e walking around) and muted it in rewasd, but that resulted in not being able to move in game. I tried the same on steam input and completely disabled the left stick and that also resulted in no movement in game. Not sure what's up with that, you would have thought at least one of them would keep movement. Could be a RDR2 quirk but who knows.

Yeah I sometimes use joystick gyro but the mouse is so much nicer haha. The way I've got it setup lets me have the best aim ability/mostly correct button prompts with the least amount of technical annoyance. It's a small tradeoff I think.
But anyway lovely software, looking forward to seeing what ya'll add to it!
