The mute toggle does not work for me. If I program something it sends both the programmed input as well as the native input. Doesn't matter if I have the mute toggle on or off. Even if I change the native setting to mute. Neither works.

You have to set the paddles of your Xbox Elite controller to "unmapped" on every profile in the Xbox Accessories app first.
And make sure you do not update the firmware of the controller, so it stays on version 4.8.

You can no longer map profiles in xbox accessories. It says "update required" and won't let you do anything.Comment

Do you mean an update is required for the app or for the controller`s firmware?
Updating the app should not be a problem.
If an update of firmware is required, you can do it, unmap all paddles on all profiles, then roll back the firmware to version 4.8.Comment
