Don't fire keys for switching layers with shortcuts

Hi,

I'm trying to change layers with shortcuts in place of . I have the following setup:



Despite having the option "Re-press the held button when switching the Shift layer" unticked, when switching layers, sometimes characters still appear. I can't seem to enable the mute button either.

Is there something I'm missing in my setup?

"Re-press the held button when switching the Shift layer" option is not related to Shortcuts. There is no way to Mute the keys that are used in a shortcut

As an option, you can adjust any key as Jump to Shift and Mute it.

I was hoping to be able to use shortcuts / combination of keys to switch layers as I need the native behavior with other keys / already have macros on those keys.

If you use, for example, A + D shortcut to go to another layer, the A key will be reproduced every time, so the native behavior of A key still persists.
