Dear REWASD team,
I am writing to report a bug that I have been experiencing while using
REWASD software. Specifically, the problem occurs during a change of layers
with the joystick in WASD mode.
Details:
Whenever a layer change is initiated while inputs are being held, there
appears to be an issue where the held input (joystick in WASD mode) is
unintentionally released and immediately re-pressed. This has been
consistently happening during layer change, irrespective of the layer.
Expected Behavior:
Ideally, when a layer change occurs, the joystick's input (in WASD mode)
should remain consistent and uninterrupted when the joystick is not mapped differently on a new layer.
The input should continue smoothly from the previous layer to the new one without
being released and re-pressed.
Actual Behavior:
The held joystick input (in WASD mode) is released and instantly re-pressed
during a layer change. This disrupts the continuity of joystick use and
affects overall performance and user experience.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select the joystick in WASD mode.
2. Hold down an input, `w` for example.
3. Initiate a layer change while holding the input.
4. Notice that the held input is released and re-pressed during the layer
change.
Environment:
"Re-press the held button when switching the Shift layer" setting is disabled
Device: Azeron Cyborg, firmware 92b.
Rewasd: 7.2.0.9014
OS: Windows 11
I have been enjoying using your product, but this issue has recently
disrupted the smooth operation. I would appreciate it if your team could
investigate this matter and provide a resolution or workaround.
I am willing to provide any further information or accessed to logs if it
helps diagnose the problem.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
