With some old games, the keyboard input buffer might overflow, making the keyboard unresponsive for some time.
To avoid that, try changing the virtual keyboard repeat rate option to [Slow] or [None].

We also suggest you test your config with the [ViewKeyCode] app, to ensure that reWASD works as expected.

It is still having an issue with the Esc keybind, but what I did was tried a different controller and so far so good. I will report back after more testing to see if it is just the controller. As I will be switching between the two to see if there is a consistency.

My controller I normally use is the Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, and the different controller I mentioned I tried above was the Xbox Series X controller. So, I know the Vader 4 Pro is not supported, so I am hoping that is the issue with what is happening and not something else.

I will get back to you back to you guys when I get a chance.

          ** UPDATE **

Hey guys, so it looks like it is an issue with the FlyDigi Vader 4 PRO controller. When I am using my Xbox Series X controller it works fine. So, I believe that I am having issues with the Vader 4 PRO as it is not officially support by ReWASD.

Hopefully this will get resolved in a future update.

            **UPDATE 2**

Sorry guys, it still happens regardless of controller. Some just take longer for the issue to happen. It's weird.

Have you checked virtual ESC functionality in ViewKeyCode or any other keyboard tester?

Yep, I downloaded the ViewKeyCode app last night and tried it. It doesn't seem to respond when I press it. Even if I put my controller down and press ESC on the keyboard. When I turn off the Remap and then turn it back on, it works fine.

If viewkeycode didn't react to physical pressing of ESC on keyboard, then it is unlikely that the issue is in reWASD.

I tested your config here and ESC mapping works flawlessly.

It works for me too, but at times it stops working. Until I turn off ReWASD remap and turn it on again. I don't know if its a bug in the game I am using, or a bug with ReWASD. It's annoying especially when it happens in the middle of game where if you die, you lose everything.

I don't know if a fresh install would work of ReWASD, or reinstalling the game.

Foremost, you need to test it outside the game (keyboard tester or viewkeycode). If it sometimes stops working there, then it makes sense to continue troubleshooting on the reWASD side. If the issue is observed exclusively in the game, then the problem should be looked for in the game itself.

Okay, I will leave the app running, so that next time I can jump in straight away and check to see what is going on.
