  • XBOX left trigger not showing as axis in DCS

I've got an XBOX elite 2 controller, using it over bluetooth.

The problem I'm having is if I map the output as a "Virtual Xbox 360" or xbox one controller the left trigger doesn't get picked up as an axis, specifically in DCS.

But if I map the output as a "Virtual DS4", then I can map as an axis no problem.

There's a problem with that too though because if I map output as a DS4 then my screen saver no longer works.

And I really don't want my monitors burning out when I walk away and leave my PC running.

I'd really appreciate it if I could get some help with either of these two issues, don't mind which one!

    Thanks!

Checked virtual Xbox One and Xbox 360 in joy.cpl. Left trigger works as analog button on Z axis exactly as without remap.

Yep, I saw that too. However, DCS can see the trigger as an axis if I set the output to DS4, just not when it's XBox.

I'm guessing that's because joy.cpl sees the two triggers as separate axis when the output is DS4, whereas with xbox it's a single axis.

OK, so maybe DCS just doesn't like XBOX controllers.

But I don't want to use PS4 because of the problem with the screen saver not activating when the computer is idle, can you help me with that one at all please?

Having set it to ps3 output the screen saver worked again, so I was going to use that, then I set it back to ps4 and now that's working too. So looks like something about switching between the outputs has reset something with the screensaver and it's behaving itself again, so all good now.

Thanks for your help with this.
