  • Detecting multiple Logitech's devices

    Hello!

I'm currently using Logitech's MX Master 3S (Mouse) and MX Keys (Keyboard).
Both are connected to one Logitech's USB receiver called Logi Bolt and somehow reWASD recognizes both as one device.
When the Detect active devices button is enabled and I press any key on the keyboard and mouse in turn, the same icon lights up.
How do I seperate them into two devices so I could set them up seperately?

Hi. This is normal behavior when using a single adapter.

Unfortunately, in this case, it’s not possible to split the devices, so you’ll need to either use separate adapters or use one of the devices (for example, the keyboard) via a wired connection.

      Thank you for your reply.

I removed all devices previously connected to a single Logi Bolt receiver and prepared two Logi Bolt receivers, connecting one keyboard and one mouse to each receiver.
However, somehow, reWASD only shows the mouse and the keyboard does not appear.

I’m not entirely sure how reWASD detects devices but could this be because both Logi Bolt receivers have the same device ID or something?

I tested connecting both a keyboard and a mouse to a single Bluetooth receiver and they were recognized as separate devices without any problems.
I’m not sure why this issue only occurs with the Logi Bolt receivers.

Yes, this is exactly because the device ID is the same.

When I connected both my keyboard and mouse to a single Logi Bolt adapter, they were recognized together under one icon.
With Bluetooth, both devices are detected normally as well.
However, when I tried using two separate Logi Bolt adapters, one for the keyboard and one for the mouse, initially only one device was recognized and now neither device is detected.
          The software’s behavior seems inconsistent.

Could you please update reWASD to fully support Logi Bolt adapters?
Logitech’s keyboards and mice are widely used across industries and have become representative devices for many users.

While reWASD is well-known among gamers and understandably focuses on gaming-related functionality, it is also extremely useful for professionals such as architects, 3D artists, editors, and web designers, who constantly switch between software with very different shortcut systems.
reWASD makes it possible to customize a ton of shortcuts in a consistent logic, streamlining and simplifying workflows.
It would be greatly appreciated if full support for regular keyboards and mice could also be prioritized.

This is a common issue with such adapters. You can find a similar issue related to Razer adapters here.
reWASD can't separate devices connected via such an adapter.

This requires protocol descriptions from the dongle/adapter developers.
Unfortunately, this information is not public at the moment.

That's a bummer. Thanks for the explanation!
