  • Shift mode button not releasing

I've encountered what seems to be a bug since I updated to one of the newer software versions. Unfortunately I don't know which one I was running when it still worked. Issue is this, I hope it is clear:

Main layer: Right stick mapped to "right click + mouse movement" --> allows to move the camera in a game

    Layer shift button: Left trigger

Shift-layer 1: Right stick mapped to mouse alone --> moving the mouse

Intended result: With the right stick, i move the camera (right click+mouse), when I hold the left trigger, I move the mouse. When I release it, I move the camera again.

This has worked for years. What is now happening is: When I release the trigger while still moving the right stick, it does not go back to the main layer. I need to lift the trigger and stop moving the right stick. In other words, the hold and release press of the trigger don't seem to work correctly.

I tried working with deadzones, switching different settings on and off, two different controllers, but nothing works.

Please attach the config file that produces this issue and clarify whether the [Re-press the held button when switching the Shift layer] option is enabled in [Preferences > General].
You can find the config file by right-clicking its name in the app and selecting [Open file location].

      Here is the file.
To your question: It doesn't matter if that one option is enabled or not, the behavior is the same.
And I tried it with other buttons instead of trigger. Error is the same.

Select the [Shift-layer 1], open advanced stick settings of the right stick, and set mappings for all stick zones to [Do not inherit].

Hey, that did it. Thank you! It took me so long to write that post...
