Could you please clarify:
1. Does the virtual controller work correctly with the applied config in the tester?
2. Are you trying to use the virtual controller on PC or connecting to the console using the ESP32-S2 adapter?
3. Does the issue occur in other applications or only with the Xbox game pass?

1. Does the virtual controller work correctly with the applied config in the tester? Yes 2. Are you trying to use the virtual controller on PC or connecting to the console using the ESP32-S2 adapter? I am not using the ESP32-S2 adaptor as I am using the xcloud.
3. Does the issue occur in other applications or only with the Xbox game pass? It seems to only happen with the Xbox.

1. Forget about the adapter. You don't need it.
2. Could you try to use another virtual controller?
3. Please specify - is our virtual controller doesn't work in the xCloud app at all or just in a game?
Also, I would be glad if you send a screenshot of joy.cpl after applying the config.

You need to go to the Virtual Controller settings and try changing the selected virtual controller to another Xbox controller. As shown in the screenshot above. Perhaps this will help solve the issue.
Please don't forget to re-apply the config for the changes to take effect.
Also, you need to go to Preferences, select the Gamepads section, and ensure that the "Hide physical controller when virtual one is created" is checked.

Hey man,
So, when I connect my rewasd my Xbox app recognises my keyboard and mouse as a controller yet I'm getting no response on my Xbox console while I use the inbuilt x cloud from rewasd, it makes no sense.
I apologise if it feels like I'm carrying on but I really want to play starfield on my Xbox console.
